Job summary

Pure Staff's Driving Team are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to support a long-standing customer based in Highbridge. Immediate starts are available for reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for ongoing tramping work with one of the UK's most established transport and logistics businesses.

Drivers will undertake Monday to Friday tramping work across nationwide general haulage, with shifts starting around 06:00 and typically lasting 10 hours.

Qualifications

• UK Category C+E Licence and CPC Card required.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (12 months preferred).
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to tramp Monday to Friday; professional and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Drive Monday to Friday tramping nationwide general haulage.
• Complete trunking and long-distance deliveries while remaining with the vehicle during the week.
• Adhere to tachograph regulations and vehicle safety checks.

Salary: GBP17 - GBP22.97 per hour

Pure Staff's Driving Team are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to support one of our long-standing customers based in Highbridge. Immediate starts are available for reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for ongoing tramping work with one of the UK's most established transport and logistics businesses.

Our customer is a long-established family-owned transport company with over 50 year'sexperience delivering nationwide haulage and logistics solutions. Operating a modern fleet of more than 500 vehicles from a network of depots across the UK, they provide reliable general haulage, distribution and specialist transport services to customers across a wide range of industries. Their commitment to safety, investment in modern equipment and long-term driver relationships has made them one of the UK's most respected logistics operators.

Drivers will undertake Monday to Friday tramping work, completing nationwide general haulage deliveries using modern articulated vehicles. This role offers a mixture of trunking and long-distance deliveries, with drivers remaining with the vehicle throughout the working week before returning home for weekends. Typical start times are around 06:00. Usually 10 hours shifts. This is ongoing work, and the client typically keeps the same drivers on the contract, making it an excellent opportunity for dependable tramper drivers seeking long-term stability.

Rates for an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver:

Monday to Friday (Days) = £17.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £19.05ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

Saturdays (rare) = £20ph (+holiday accrued) or £22.97 (with holiday pay rolled up)

Night out allowance = £25 per night
