Job summary

JDR Recruitment is recruiting for HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join our Cardiff-based client. Immediate start with 11-15 hour days, run-out Mondays and nights away on multi-run schedules. Weekly pay and ongoing full-time opportunities in South-West Wales.

You will operate HGV Class 1 lorries, perform yard-to-yard runs, complete safety checks, and uphold high safety and customer-service standards. Nights away pay applies where applicable.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held.
• Minimum experience around 18 months preferred.
• Valid CPC & Digi-Tacho card.
• Strong focus on safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate an HGV Class 1 lorry to yard-to-yard work on site.
• Carry out site collections and trunks to West Wales.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and record results.
• Maintain professional, customer-focused approach at all times.

We are looking for HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers

Days £16ph - £17.93ph (higher rate including holiday pay)

Location: Cardiff, CF3

Immediate start

Shift: Run out Monday between 0400-0600 and back Friday weekly. 11-15hr days

Ongoing throughout summer with some permanent opportunities available

The role:

As an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, you'll be responsible for operating an HGV Class 1 lorry doing straight forward yard to yard work. It will be multiple runs requiring nights away. if you are back local and go home you will still be paid night away money

Your key responsibilities will be:-

• Driving and operating an HGV Class 1 Lorry in line with safety standards
• Carrying out site collections and trunks to West Wales
• Ensuring vehicle checks are completed daily
• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach

About you:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver you will have the following skills and experience:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Min experience 18 months recent experience preferred
• Valid CPC & Digi Tacho card
• Strong focus on safety and customer service
• Tramping experience
