Job summary

Hiregiant Ltd in Wolverhampton is recruiting an experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver for ongoing tramping work with fixed routes and long-term stability. The role involves driving Class 1 flatbed vehicles, delivering building materials to sites, securing loads and completing daily vehicle checks.

You will follow safety procedures, maintain professional standards on-site, and work Monday to Friday with 06:00 starts and nights out as required. PAYE rate is £19–£20 per hour, with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience.
• Tramping experience essential.
• Flatbed and load strapping experience preferred.
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Driving Class 1 flatbed vehicles.
• Delivering building and construction materials to sites and trade locations.
• Securing loads safely using straps and following load security procedures.
• Completing nationwide and regional tramping runs.

Class 1 Tramper Driver

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Tramper Drivers for one of our established clients based in WV4, Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for ongoing tramping work, consistent routes, and stable Monday to Friday shifts.

The Role:

As a Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Driving Class 1 flatbed vehicles

• Delivering building and construction materials to construction sites and trade locations

• Securing loads safely using straps and following load security procedures

• Completing nationwide and regional tramping runs

• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting

• Maintaining professional standards when representing the client on-site

This is straightforward flatbed work with planned routes and long-term consistency.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence

• Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience

• Previous tramping experience essential

• Flatbed and load strapping experience preferred

• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card

• No more than 6 points on your licence

Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday

• 06:00am starts

• Tramping work with nights out required

• Ongoing, long-term work

• Rate: 19.00 - 20.00 paye p/h
