Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Cardiff is building a pool of Class 1 Tramper Drivers to provide holiday and sickness cover for a prestigious logistics client. Shifts are days with nights out and pay £16.50 per hour plus Night Out Allowance. Successful candidates will be contacted as shifts arise to support ongoing operations across the UK.

Applicants should have a valid LGV C+E Licence, CPC and Digi Card, and be willing to work manual tasks. All drivers must pass an on-site assessment before joining the pool.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV C+E Licence required.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph (Digi) Card required.
• Willingness to perform manual work as part of duties.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on licence; no disqualifications for certain endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver loads to client sites and drop/swap trailers per shift.
• Ensure goods are securely loaded before travel.
• Safely operate modern vehicles across the UK.
• Maintain safety standards in line with FORS Gold requirements.

Are you an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver looking for flexible work in the Cardiff area? We are currently building a candidate pool of professional Class 1 Tramper Drivers to provide holiday and sickness cover for one of our prestigious logistics clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking flexible assignments with a well-established global logistics provider. Successful candidates will be contacted as shifts become available, offering regular opportunities to support ongoing operations during periods of increased demand, annual leave, and staff absences.

Candidates with significant Class 1 experience are encouraged to apply. However, those with a few months of solid Class 1 driving experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Typically, 1-3 drops per shift.
• Deliver loads to client sites, dropping and swapping trailers once your destination is reached.
• Ensure all goods are securely loaded before each journey.
• Safely drive modern vehicles across the UK.
• Operate in compliance with FORS Gold level safety standards.
• Drive vehicles from a brand-new fleet.

Requirements:

• Valid LGV C+E Licence.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph (Digi) Card.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence.
• No DD, DR, or IN endorsements.
• Willingness to carry out manual work as part

• Up to 4 nights out per week, paid at £26.20 per night.
