Job summary

JDR Recruitment in Cardiff is seeking HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join our client’s team based in Cardiff. The role involves operating an HGV Class 1 lorry on yard-to-yard work with multiple runs and nights away.

Immediate start and ongoing, full-time work with weekly pay. You will hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC and Digi Tacho card, with at least 18 months recent experience and a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence and CPC with Digi Tacho.
• Minimum 18 months' recent experience.
• Strong focus on safety and customer service.
• Tramping experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 lorries between yards as required.
• Carry out site collections and trunks to West Wales.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed.
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach.

We are looking for HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers

Days £16ph - £17.93ph (higher rate including holiday pay)

Location: Cardiff, CF3

Immediate start

Shift: Run out Monday between #removed# and back Friday weekly. 11-15hr days

Ongoing throughout summer with some permanent opportunities available

The role:

As an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, you'll be responsible for operating an HGV Class 1 lorry doing straight forward yard to yard work. It will be multiple runs requiring nights away. if you are back local and go home you will still be paid night away money

Your key responsibilities will be:-

• Driving and operating an HGV Class 1 Lorry in line with safety standards
• Carrying out site collections and trunks to West Wales
• Ensuring vehicle checks are completed daily
• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach

About you:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver you will have the following skills and experience:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Min experience 18 months recent experience preferred
• Valid CPC & Digi Tacho card
• Strong focus on safety and customer service
• Tramping experience
