Job summary

Rapier Employment Limited is seeking an HGV Class 1 driver for a tramper role in Scunthorpe. The position is full-time on a temporary-to-permanent basis with a daily rate of £190 and night-out pay of £25.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, general haulage, trailer swaps, and RDC deliveries across the north and midlands. Applicants must hold a C+E licence for at least 12 months, with 3 months’ commercial experience, a Tachograph Card and CPC qualification.

Job description

This HGV Class 1 Tramper role in Scunthorpe offers £190 per day on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis through Rapier Employment.

Working Monday to Friday, the driver will carry out vehicle checks and general haulage, including collections with trailer swaps and RDC deliveries using curtain siders and box trailers across the north and midlands.

Tramping involves nights away, with £25 paid per night out.

Applicants need a C+E licence held for at least twelve months, plus three months of commercial experience to satisfy insurance criteria.

No DR10, CD10 or IN10 convictions are permitted, and no more than six points.

A Digital Tachograph Card and valid CPC qualification are essential.

A positive, can-do approach is expected.
