Job summary

People Solutions is recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our client in Manchester, Greater Manchester. You will drive CE category vehicles, complete 2–4 deliveries daily across the North West, and perform loading/unloading and daily checks with a strong focus on safety and customer service.

The role is Monday to Friday with start times around early morning, regular nights out, and an excellent hourly rate with weekly pay and ongoing opportunities in a leading transport and

Qualifications

• Two years HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points (except specific endorsements).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Drive CE vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Complete 2–4 deliveries per day across the North West.
• Load/unload and handball when required.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure deliveries are on time and safe.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
• Complete delivery paperwork and tachograph records.

HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver - Manchester

People Solutionsare currently recruiting for anHGV Class 1 Tramper Driverto join our well-established client based in Manchester, Greater Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, weekly pay, ongoing work, and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading transport and logistics company.

This role would suit candidates with experience as anHGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver or Tanker Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £17.00 per hour
• £22.00 night out allowance per night + £10 Food allowance per night

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 05:00 and 06:00
• Regular nights out required

Day-to-Day Duties:

As anHGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will work:

• Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing between two and four deliveries per day across the North West
• Loading and unloading vehicles, including handball duties where required
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery location
• Reporting delivery issues or customer concerns to the transport team
• Completing all delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records accurately
• Complying with all Class 1, Driver Hours, and road transport regulations

Essential Skills:

To be successful as anHGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will need:

• A minimum of two years' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsements)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach to work

Training:

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
• Previous experience completing HGV Class 1 multi-drop deliveries would be advantageous
• Previous Class 1 driving experience would be beneficial of 12 months
