Job summary

Rapier Employment Limited is recruiting for an HGV Shunter at a busy Daventry distribution site. The role focuses on safe movement of trailers, accurate positioning for loading/unloading and adherence to site safety rules.

The ideal candidate holds a valid HGV Class 1 licence and has at least 12 months driving experience, with familiarity in shunting and trailer safety checks. You will operate within a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, with 12-hour shifts, and use the C3 terminal to receive and

• Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Minimum 12 months HGV driving experience.
• Experience with shunting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Move and position trailers/containers around the site.
• Move trailers on/off loading bays and connect/disconnect trailers safely.
• Carry out trailer and vehicle safety checks.
• Follow C3 system instructions and movement tasks.
• Communicate with transport and warehouse teams.
• Adhere to site traffic and health & safety procedures.
