Culina Group Limited in Leeds is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers for our General Haulage operation at the Unilever site. You will complete store and RDC deliveries across the region, with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern and night options.

The role offers competitive hourly pay (£16.35–£18.96) plus a £5 per shift meal allowance and extensive company benefits focused on safety, service and development.

Formación

• Valid C+E licence and 6+ months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.
• Hold DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• On-site health and safety compliance.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• General Haulage with curtainside trailers to distribution centres and stores.
• Support general work including occasional store deliveries and loading/unloading cages.
• Complete vehicle checks and documentation.
• Maintain high levels of safety, compliance and professionalism.
• Work closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to Driver’s hours, WTD and tachograph legislation.

Job Description

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our customer Site Unilever in Leeds, for our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The role is full time, working on a permanent basis and will be working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern and we have opportunities working Nights:

• Night Shift 18:00

Pay Rates

We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £16.35 to £18.96 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Mon-Fri Nights - £16.35 per hour
• Sat and Sun Nights - £18.65 per hour
• Bank Holidays - £18.96 per hour.

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance

Driver Responsibilities

• General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores
• Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.

Qualifications

• You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
