Job summary

Driver Hire Lancaster is seeking HGV Class 1 Night Drivers to support client operations in the Heysham area. Roles involve trunk runs with emphasis on night hours, professional conduct at delivery points, and minimal manual handling.

You'll perform pre-shift vehicle checks, adhere to safety standards, and may secure ongoing shifts for the right driver. Starting around 7:30 PM, with up to four nights per week.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 licence required.
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card required.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude.
• At least 1 year of HGV Class 1 experience.

Responsibilities

• Hub runs through the night with no daytime traffic.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Represent the business professionally at delivery locations.
• Stopping out up to 4 nights a week.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Hub Runs through the night (no daytime traffic!)
• No Handball – focus on driving, not heavy lifting (Class 1)
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
• Representing the business professionally at delivery locations
• Stopping out up to 4 nights a week

Approx 19:30pm Starts

Potential for ongoing work/ temp to perm for the right driver

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class 1
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
• 1 Year of HGV Class 1 Experience
