Job summary

Driver Hire Lancaster is recruiting HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers for a well-established local haulage company based in the Heysham area. The role covers general haulage, port deliveries, and Monday to Friday tramping with a typical 50–60 hour week.

Pay is £16.50 per hour plus £26.20 night out allowance, with weekly pay and a supportive team. Ongoing, long‑term work with a modern, well‑maintained fleet.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.

Driver Hire Lancaster is currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers for a well-established local haulage company based in the Heysham area.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent, ongoing work with a modern fleet and a supportive transport team. We are keen to speak to drivers who have an understanding of port work and have at least 1 year of Class 1 experience.

The Role

• General haulage work
• Collections and deliveries to and from Heysham Port
• Monday to Friday tramping
• Leave Monday morning and return Friday
• Ongoing, long-term work available
• Average 50-60 hours per week
