Job summary

Uniserve is seeking a qualified HGV Class 1 night driver to join its UK container delivery team. You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of containers across the UK from key ports including Felixstowe, Tilbury and LGW.

New drivers are welcome. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits. A clean Class 1 C+E licence with DQC and Tachograph Card is required; ADR is a bonus and training can be provided.

Qualifications

• 2 years container experience with skeletal trailers advantageous.
• Familiarity with working at the port of Felixstowe, LGW and Tilbury.
• Hold a clean valid Class 1 C+E HGV licence with an in‑date DQC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• ADR preferred but training can be provided.
• RHIDES Card advantageous.
• Strong understanding of safe working practices and manual handling procedures.
• Clear and confident communication skills.
• Collaborative, proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently deliver containers across the UK.
• Operate as a night driver for HGV Class 1 routes.
• Maintain compliance with tachograph rules and port regulations.

James Kemball, is seeking a qualified HGV Class 1 night drivers to join the team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of containers across the UK.

Will consider new drivers

Salary:

£40,921.09 salary quoted excl. overtime and performance related bonus.

About You:

• 2 years container experience with skeletal trailers is advantageous
• Familiarity with working on port of Felixstowe, LGW & Tilbury
• Hold a clean valid Class 1 C+E HGV licence, along with an in‑date DQC and Digital Tachograph Card
• ADR preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
• RHIDES Card advantageous
• Strong understanding of safe working practices and manual handling procedures
• Clear and confident communication skills
• Collaborative approach with a positive, proactive attitude
• Consideration will also be given to drivers with good HGV Class 1 experience
