Job summary

Tardis Environmental UK Ltd is seeking a Class 1 HIAB Driver to join our Southampton Depot team. You will operate HIAB-equipped vehicles to deliver and collect portable toilets, welfare units, and water/waste tanks across the region, ensuring safe loading and unloading in line with ALLMI standards.

The role requires a valid Digital Tachograph Card, Driver CPC, and a maximum of six points on your licence. You will complete pre-use checks, keep tachographs up to date, and maintain accurate

Qualifications

• HIAB skills and safe operation required.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Maximum 6 points on licence (insurance requirement).
• Knowledge of drivers hours and WTRT beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate HIAB-equipped vehicles to deliver and collect equipment across the region.
• Load, secure and unload equipment safely in line with ALLMI standards.
• Complete pre-use vehicle checks and maintain tachograph records.
• Accurately complete delivery documents and paperwork.
• Represent Tardis Environmental professionally on customer sites.
• Operate other Tardis vehicles within licence scope as needed.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.

Tardis Environmental UK Ltd are a well-established portable toilet and tanker hire business that operate a large fleet of HGV and LGV vehicles across various locations situated throughout the UK. We hire temporary waste and water solutions from 1000ltr waste and water storage tanks up to 30,000ltr storage tanks. Currently members of FORS and hold Gold accreditation. We are currently looking to recruit a flexible Class 1 HIAB Operative based out of our Southampton Depot to drive our HIAB vehicle along with all Tardis vehicles which fall into your scope of licence.

Hours

Monday to Friday (Start time from 5:30am)

Salary

£20.00 per hour (Overtime: Saturday £30.00 ph, Sunday £40.00 ph)

What You Will Be Doing

• Operating the HIAB vehicle to deliver and collect portable toilets, welfare units, and water/waste storage tanks to client sites across the region
• Loading, securing, and unloading equipment safely using HIAB crane in line with ALLMI standards
• Completing pre-use vehicle checks and maintaining accurate tachograph records
• Completing delivery documentation and paperwork accurately
• Representing Tardis Environmental professionally when on customer sites
• Operating additional Tardis vehicles within your licence scope as required
• Working efficiently to meet daily delivery schedules and customer deadlines
• Maintaining the vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness
