Driver Require Ltd is recruiting Class 1 Drivers for a manufacturing company based in Lichfield. Roles cover any 4-hour window between 13:00-21:00 with shifts across 7 days.

Daily pay rates start at £210 on weekdays (£235.30 including holiday pay). Weekend rates are £235 daily (£264.50 with holiday pay). The job involves multi-drop deliveries, vehicle checks, and liaising with customers and the Transport Team.

• 2 years' experience driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to RDCs multi-drop and swap trailers, potential live load.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects reported.
• Liaise with customers.
• Abide by customers' rules and regulations on site.
• Coordinate with Transport Team to update delivery status.
• Manage driving time to avoid infringements.

Main Responsibilities

• Delivering to RDC's multi-drop and swap trailers some potential live load
• Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are duly reported, ensuring the vehicle and its load are road-worthy and do not pose a threat to other road-users.
• Liaising with Customers
• Abide by customers rules and regulations whilst on site
• Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts
• Effectively managing your driving time so that you don't acquire infringements.

Skills and Experience Required

• 2 year's experience of driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads
• Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions (DD/DR/IN10's)
