Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking Class 1 Drivers to join a busy transport operation across regional and nationwide routes. This ongoing temporary role features curtain-sided trailers and forklift loading, with no manual handball required.

You will start early (04:00–05:00) and work typically three days per week, earning £16.50 per hour. Up to 28 days holiday are available during the assignment.

Qualifications

• CE entitlement provided with valid tachograph card and CPC.
• HGV licence held for minimum 12 months.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• No DR, DD, IN, CU, or MS convictions.

Responsibilities

• Drive depot-to-depot trunking across regional and nationwide routes.
• Operate curtain-sided trailers loaded/unloaded by forklift.
• Maintain safe and efficient deliveries.
• Early starts between 04:00 and 05:00; typical 3 days per week.

Job Description

No handball, trunking work with regular hours.

We are currently recruiting Class 1 Drivers to join a busy and well-established transport operation. This is a great opportunity for experienced drivers who are looking for reliable work, a consistent schedule, and a role focused on safe and efficient deliveries.

You will be responsible for completing depot-to-depot trunking work across both regional and nationwide routes. All trailers are curtain-sided and are loaded and unloaded by forklift, meaning no handballing is required.

This role is ideal for drivers who value a straightforward driving position with a professional team and ongoing opportunities.

Duration: This is an ongoing temporary position

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: You will be paid £16.50 per hour for this role.You will also have the opportunity to accrue up to 28 days of holiday entitlement throughout your assignment.Please note: We do not accept Max 20 visas or offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Working Hours: Start times between 0400 and 0500.Normally 3 days per weekRTWTR does apply for this position.

Experience & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will:

You must hold a current CE entitlement and have a valid Digital Tachograph Card and Driver CPC qualification.

You must have held your HGV licence for a minimum of 12 months.

You must have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence for insurance purposes, with only minor offences considered.

You must not have any DR, DD, IN, CU, or MS convictions.
