Job summary

People Solutions is recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to work in Burton upon Trent (DE14 2WP). The role involves daily duties delivering to stores with cage handling and occasional night shifts. Incentives include up to £550 peak bonus and weekly pay, with potential permanent opportunities.

Shifts run Monday to Friday, with day or night options. Reliable commuting to Burton is essential for every shift, with modern fleet and ongoing support provided.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Category CE Licence.
• A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• A minimum of two years' continuous HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements.
• No major endorsement codes.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to reliably commute to Burton upon Trent, DE14 2WP for every shift.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating Category C+E vehicles, predominantly using double-decker trailers.
• Completing multidrop deliveries to stores and collecting returns where appropriate.
• Handling palletised goods and cages.
• Following the air-lock process for night deliveries.
• Making timely deliveries to various destinations.
• Communicating effectively with the transport team.
• Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
• Ensuring full compliance with driving laws and Working Time Directive requirements.
