Job summary

People Solutions is recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver in Brighouse. The role offers regular shifts with day and night patterns and potential permanent placement for the right candidate.

Rates start from £18.00/hr (days) and £19.50/hr (nights) with weekend uplift. Benefits include weekly pay, on-site parking, and ongoing training. Experience in retail haulier settings is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• UK Category CE Licence required
• Valid Driver CPC
• Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points
• No major endorsement codes (IN, DR, DD, TT)
• Excellent communication and timekeeping skills
• Professional and reliable work ethic

Responsibilities

• Conduct trunk runs safely and efficiently
• Operate Class 1 vehicles in line with procedures and road transport regulations
• Complete daily vehicle checks
• Keep vehicles clean and well presented
• Safely load and secure goods before departure
• Adhere to health, safety and compliance standards
