Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for Burton-on-Trent with modern vehicles and immediate starts. Role focuses on cage deliveries to Hobbycraft stores, with occasional pallets. Regular weekly pay and overtime opportunities support strong earnings.

You will hold a UK Class 1 licence, DCPC, a tachograph card, and demonstrate safety and customer service commitment. DD/DR endorsements may disqualify some applications.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence.
• At least 2years' commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC).
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries are primarily cage deliveries to Hobbycraft stores.
• Occasional pallet deliveries may occur; majority is cage-based.
• Delivering cages into stores and returning salvage.
• Managing delivery paperwork/process correctly.
• Night deliveries may be required; follow the Airlock Process.

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E) - Store deliveries and cage work in predominantly double deck trailers

Location: Burton on Trent

Pay Rate: £24.94 to £31.66 p/h(static clock)

Bonus Payments: £550* attendance bonus + £250 Refer a Friend bonus

Shifts: Guaranteed 8 hours pay per shift - Sunday to Thursday (Days + Nights)

The Role

As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:

• Deliveries are primarily caged deliveries to Hobbycraft stores
• There may be the occasional pallet, but the vast majority of the work is cage-based
• Delivering cages into the store
• Returning salvage
• Managing the delivery paperwork/process correctly
• Both day and night drivers will physically handle the cage deliveries
• Night Deliveries – Airlock Process

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 2years' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service

Our client may accept up to 6 penalty points. Unfortunately, applications with DD, DR, CD, IN or TT endorsements cannot be accepted.

Applicants must be UK residents and able to travel independently to and from the site. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
