Job summary

Driver Hire Doncaster is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a Temp to Perm role in Doncaster. You will deliver and collect goods safely, carry out daily vehicle safety checks and complete paperwork accurately.

We offer day shifts only with a choice of 4 on 4 off or Monday to Friday, with the potential for regular long‑term employment. The role pays £18.00 per hour and provides ongoing work with a reputable client.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience.
• Valid CPC and Tacho Card.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.
• Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect goods safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting.
• Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
• Secure loads correctly and ensure goods are transported safely.
• Operate tail lifts and pallet trucks where required.
• Report any delays, vehicle defects, incidents or issues promptly.
