Job summary

Driver Hire Doncaster & Barnsley is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a Temp to Perm role in Doncaster. Day shifts are available with a 4 on 4 off or Monday-Friday pattern. £18.00ph.

Responsibilities include delivering/collecting goods safely, daily vehicle checks, paperwork accuracy, securing loads, and operating tail lifts where required. A reliable, customer-focused approach and UK road knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience.
• Valid CPC and Tacho Card.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for an exciting opportunity with a well-established client located in Doncaster on a Temp to Perm basis.

About the role:

• Deliver and collect goods safely and efficiently
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
• Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately
• Secure loads correctly and ensure goods are transported safely
• Operate tail lifts and pallet trucks where required
• Report any delays, vehicle defects, incidents or issues promptly

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience
• Valid CPC and Tacho Card
• Good knowledge of UK roads
• Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach
