Job summary

Great Bear in Lutterworth is looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our 24/7 distribution team, delivering palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide and supporting a dependable, customer‑focused service.

These are permanent, full‑time roles with start times from 12.00 pm, 55 hours per week. Pay includes £43,144 per year plus overtime at £22.62 per hour and a £3,000 annual night allowance, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence.
• HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred; new passes not accepted.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.
• Current DCPC and Tachograph cards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres.
• Occasional night out may be required.
• Report delays or issues promptly to Transport Office.
• Complete paperwork and sign PODs; follow health and safety rules.
• Adhere to tachograph rules and perform daily vehicle checks.
• Maintain high standard of customer service.
