Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is offering a permanent, full-time HGV Class 1 driving role in Lutterworth. You will perform palletised deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide and occasional backdoor tip work, with possible night-outs.

Shift patterns include 5 in 7, starting around 12:00 am, 55 hours per week. The role requires a valid C+E licence, 12 months of Class 1 experience, a clean licence (no more than 6 points) and DCPC/Tachograph cards.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred; new pass drivers not accepted.
• Current DCPC and Tachograph cards.
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, including backdoor tip.
• Support occasional driver tipping or multi-drop deliveries as required.
• Maintain daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards and tachograph rules.
