Job summary

Culina Group in Carlisle is seeking part-time HGV Class 1 drivers to join our General Haulage operation, delivering to stores and RDCs across the region. Shifts are nights, with Saturdays and Sundays as primary nights, typically starting between 17:00 and 19:00.

We offer increased pay rates from £18.10 to £18.41 per hour depending on shift, plus a £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance. This role emphasizes safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

Qualifications

• General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores
• Collections from Stores to load out to Factories and Distribution Centres
• Occasional store deliveries and loading/unloading cages
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation, maintaining safety, compliance and professionalism
• Working with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to Driver’s hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation

Job description

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our depot in Carlisle to support our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The roles are part time, working on a permanent basis, with ideal shift patterns available on Nights below:

• Saturday and Sundays Nights

Shifts typically start between 17:00-19:00. We offer flexibility in shift patterns, so if these start dates and times don’t quite suit your availability, let us know what you’re looking for, we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences.

Pay Rates:

We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £18.10 to £18.41 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Saturday and Sunday Night Shift – £18.10 per hour
• Bank Holidays – £18.41 per hour.

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance
