Job summary

WH Bence in Yate, Bristol, is looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join the team. The role involves transporting high value medical trailers, escorting abnormal loads, and delivering to hospital sites across the UK and Ireland, with occasional nights out.

You must hold Category C+E with ≤6 points, a valid Digicard and DCPC, and at least 2 years driving experience. Training will be provided; weekend work and staying out in the cab may be required.

Qualifications

• Category C+E with no more than 6 points on licence.
• Valid Digicard and DCPC card.
• At least 2 years HGV driving experience.
• Mature, tidy appearance and professional attitude.
• Training or refresher training available for abnormal loads/escorts.

Responsibilities

• Transport high value specialist medical trailers within the UK and Ireland.
• Escort duties for oversize loads and ensure site setup safety.
• Deliver Fire Appliances, Emergency Service vehicles and mobile clinics.
• Move vehicles and trailers around yards and between sites.
• Support local driving duties and occasional weekend work or nights out.
