Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is hiring on behalf of our Bradford-based client for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (C+E). The role offers full time, part time, or ad-hoc options with shifts starting 12:00–21:00 and night rates. You will drive, load, unload, and swap trailers while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include a full UK licence (C+E), 6+ months experience, DCPC and tachograph card, and clean licence with limited points. Training and induction provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
• Minimum 6 months proven experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence and no infringements for three consecutive months.
• Flexibility to work shifts Mon-Sun with start times 12:00–21:00; all paid at night rate.

Responsibilities

• Execute depot pull, fill trailer at depot, and transport to hub.
• Take vehicle to customer, collect trailer, deliver to hub, and return to depot.
• Assist with loading/unloading at customer sites and in depot.
• Perform drop and swap operations; tail lift usage; occasional uncoupling of vehicle.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
• Travel to local sites for a one-off tacho card download prior to being put forward.
• Attend an on-site induction for the first shift.
