Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well known client in the Warrington area for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E).

Shifts run across Monday to Sunday with full time, part time or ad-hoc options. Start times between 12:00 and 21:00, with pay rates from £18.15/h rising after 12 weeks and overtime rates thereafter; bank holidays paid at a premium. Applicants must have a full UK licence with C+E entitlement, CPC and tachograph card, and be able to travel to depots.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
• At least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence and no infringement points for three consecutive months.

Responsibilities

• Execute depot pull and load trailer at depot and transport to hub.
• Engage in customer work, delivering/picking up trailers to hubs and depots.
• Assist with loading/unloading at customer sites and depots.
• Perform drop and swap operations, sometimes using a tail lift.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
• Travel to local sites for a one-off tacho card download and attend on-site induction.
