Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting for Class 1 Drivers in Woking (GU21 3BA) on a temporary, ongoing basis. The role offers competitive pay with various shifts and regular work in a nationwide logistics operation.

You will be responsible for safe operation of Class 1 vehicles, on-time deliveries, and daily vehicle checks, while maintaining compliance with transport legislation and company policies. Strong driving and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 year previous HGV driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
