The Best Connection is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a temp-to-perm role in Darlington. Inductions are offered this week, with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern designed to provide good work-life balance.

This opportunity features nights, ongoing assignments across the UK, and potential permanence with a well-established client in container transport and general haulage. Candidates must hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, and Tachograph Card, with at least two years of

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 2 years HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours legislation and transport regs.
• Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work.
• Strong communication and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Transport containers, refrigerated trailers and general haulage across the UK.
• Complete a variety of runs with no two weeks the same.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and complete paperwork correctly.
• Provide excellent customer service at collection and delivery points.
• Night shifts are available.
• Represent The Best Connection and client in a safe, professional manner.
