Job summary

Culina Transport in Cumbria is seeking permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join our team, delivering pre-loaded trailers from customer sites to warehouses across Cumbria. This role emphasizes safe driving, excellent service, and dependable deliveries.

Shifts include Friday to Monday days 05:00-07:00 with pay rates from £14.60 to £18.41 per hour, plus a £5 per shift meal allowance. Applicants should hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence and CPC, with tachograph card.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• A professional and safety-focused approach.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collection of loaded trailers and delivery to Warehouse, requirement to Tip and drop trailers.
• Trailers are Pre-loaded at customer sites.
• Collection from docks for delivery to customer sites.
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation.
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism.
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join supporting our operation in the Cumbria area, supporting collecting loaded trailers from a customer site and delivering to warehouses around Cumbria area. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis, Shift Pattern for this role is as below:

• Friday to Monday Days 05:00-07:00

Pay Rates

We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £14.60 to £18.41 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Mon-Fri Days - £14.60 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £17.60 per hour
• Bank Holidays - £18.41 per hour.

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance
