Job summary

Culina is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to support our Cumbria operations. You will collect loaded trailers from customer sites and deliver to warehouses across Cumbria, focusing on safety, customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The role is full time with Friday to Monday day shifts (05:00-07:00). Pay rates range from £14.60 to £18.41 per hour, plus a £5 shift meal allowance and other benefits.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence valid.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Safety-focused and professional.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect loaded trailers and deliver to warehouses around Cumbria.
• Pre-load/dock trailers as required by site.
• Collect from docks for delivery to customer sites.
• Perform all required vehicle checks and paperwork.
• Maintain high safety, compliance and professionalism.
• Collaborate with transport team for smooth operations.
• Adhere to drivers hours, WTD and tachograph rules.

Job Description

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join supporting our operation in the Cumbria area, supporting collecting loaded trailers from a customer site and delivering to warehouses around Cumbria area. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis, Shift Pattern for this role is as below:

• Friday to Monday Days 05:00-07:00

Pay Rates:

We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £14.60 to £18.41 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Mon-Fri Days - £14.60 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £17.60 per hour
• Bank Holidays - £18.41 per hour.

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance

Driver Responsibilities:

• Collection of loaded trailers and delivery to Warehouse, requirement to Tip and drop trailers
• Trailers are Pre-loaded at customer sites
• Collection from docks for delivery to customer sites
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional and safety-focused approach
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
