Workchain is seeking a dependable HGV Class 1 Driver for daytime temporary assignments in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire. You will deliver and collect across planned routes, perform pre- and post-journey vehicle checks, and help with loading and unloading when needed, while maintaining high safety standards and professional conduct.

The role offers £17 per hour, paid every Wednesday, with visibility to local employers and ongoing opportunities in the events sector.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid HGV Class 1 entitlement and CPC/tachograph paperwork.
• Experience driving HGV Class 1 and knowledge of safety checks.
• Reliable, punctual and professional with good communication.
• Able to assist with loading/unloading when needed.

Responsabilités

• Drive an HGV Class 1 vehicle in line with road safety and legal requirements
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections across planned routes
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after journeys
• Secure loads safely and report any issues promptly
• Complete delivery paperwork and other required records accurately
• Communicate professionally with site contacts and colleagues
• Support loading and unloading activities when required
• Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle

The role
