Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to support transport operations in Old Whittington. This temporary daytime role offers £17 per hour and day shifts, with pay weekly on Wednesdays.

You will drive Class 1 vehicles, complete deliveries to schedule, and perform daily safety checks while maintaining high standards of vehicle care and professional communication with depot teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence with relevant entitlement.
• Valid Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Digital tachograph card held.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Good knowledge of road safety and drivers’ hours regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Complete deliveries and collections in line with schedules.

• Secure loads and complete paperwork.
