Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking experienced Class 1 drivers to join our client in Southampton. This is an ongoing role with 10 hour minimum shifts and potential progression to full-time contracts. Pay is £17.00-£18.50 per hour, with Monday to Friday patterns and start times between 04:00 and 07:00.

Responsibilities include delivering/collecting containers from the dock to local companies or trunking up to the Midlands. Dock experience is essential and a driving assessment will be required.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 1 licence required.
• CPC & DIGI required; DP World Card preferred.
• Container experience essential and docks exposure.
• Must complete driving assessment and induction.

• No hand-balling involved.
• Vehicle checks and securing containers.

The Best Connection are looking for experienced Class 1 drivers to join our client based in Southampton.

This is an ongoing role, with potential to go full time with a contract. 10 hour minimum. No weekend work.

Salary - £17.00 / £18.50 per hour

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday

Location - Southampton

Start Time - Between 04:00am - 07:00am

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Delivering and collecting containers from the dock to local companies or Trunking up to Midlands.
• Day or Night trunking up to the midlands with General Haulage so Curtain side double decker work
• No hand-balling involved
• Vehicle checks, making sure the containers are secured
• Reporting any issues to the night manager
• Start time differ depending on route/run

WHAT IS REQUIRED/BENEFITS:
