Kinaxia Southampton is recruiting HGV Class 1 Weekend Drivers to join our team based in Eastleigh. You will be responsible for timely deliveries and maintaining vehicle standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 1 licence, CPC card, tachograph card, and have experience with double-deck trailers or containers.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid LGV C+E (Class 1) licence.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (CPC) required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Arrive on time for scheduled duties and inform traffic office of delays.
• Follow company procedures, customer requirements and the Highway Code.
• Maintain high health and safety standards at all times.
• Complete deliveries and collections as detailed on the manifest.
• Comply with EU Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Keep vehicle clean, tidy and presentable.

About The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Completing daily vehicle checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to operate
• Arriving on time for your scheduled duties and informing the traffic office of any issues or delays
• Following all company procedures, customer requirements and the Highway Code
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
• Completing all deliveries and collections as detailed on the manifest
• Complying with all EU Tachograph and Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations
• Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy and presentable

Skills & Experience Required

• A full LGV C+E (Class 1) Licence
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good communication skills
• Experience operating double-deck trailers
• Experience with containers (dock-compliant drivers would be advantageous)
• A flexible and reliable approach to work
