Evri Group, the UK's premier parcel delivery provider, seeks a HGV Class 1 Driver based in Preston. You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. They're a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather seats and many more optional extras to make sure you're comfortable.
Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 7/8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you'll be driving, taking the stress out of your day.
We don't micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, so there's plenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - but you'll still be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.
You'll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
We're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and able to succeed. As a Disability Confident Committed Employer, a Silver-accredited Inclusive Employer, and through our partnership with Scope, we're working to make our workplace and recruitment process more accessible for everyone. We encourage candidates to request adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process and there are touchpoints through the application process to do so. Every application is reviewed by a member of our Talent Acquisition team meaning that we don't use AI to screen candidates. At Evri Group, we're building an environment where everyone can be themselves and thrive.
