Job summary

MJB Recruitment Solutions is seeking Class 1 HGV Drivers for positions in Skelmersdale. The role features a fixed 4 on 4 off rota, AM starts, and 40+ hours per week with potential overtime. All curtain sider runs involve 3–4 drops per shift with no handballing.

Competitive hourly rates from £16.80 to £21.28 (inc holiday pay) with day, night, weekend, and over-time options. Opportunities for permanent full-time placement are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid HGV C&E Class 1 license.
• No more than 6 points and no DRs, INs, CDs, TTts.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive HGV Class 1 vehicles and complete deliveries within specified time frames.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Complete daily checklists and paperwork as required.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Class 1 HGV Drivers

Salary: £16.80 to £21.28 (Inc Holiday pay). Days 4 on 4 off shift. Overtime available

Job type: Temp to perm opportunities, block booking

Expected hours: 40 minimum weekly and average shift length is 10 to 12 hours

We are seeking Class 1 HGV Drivers looking or open to working with our team in Skelmersdale!

All curtain sider work with 3 to 4 drops per shift and no handballing to worry about. AM shifts available (0400 to 0700 starts) on a fixed guaranteed 4 on 4 off working rota. Additional overtime available. All HGV drivers have the option of a permanent full time position too.

What We Offer

• HGV Day rate: £16.80 per hour
• HGV Night rate: £17.92 per hour
• HGV Saturday rate: £19.04 per hour
• HGV Sunday rate: £21.28 per hour

(All pay quoted is inclusive of holiday pay as part of a 'rolled up' rate)
