Job summary

Responsibilities include trunking between depots, delivering to locations, paperwork completion, adhering to safety rules, and maintaining operations knowledge. Attractive start times and 24/7 on-call support for drivers are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Class 1 driving.
• National Insurance Number required.
• Right to work in the UK required.
• Full UK driving licence mandatory.
• Good level of English required.
• Flexibility in starting times preferred.

Responsibilities

• Depo to Depo, Trunking duties.
• Deliver company and third party products to designated locations per schedule.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene rules and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of transport department operations.
• Manage own working time per Road Transport Directive.
• Adhere to tachograph rules at all times.
• Perform daily vehicle checks as per procedure.
• Obtain PODs and return to Transport Office after delivery.
• Strive to meet fuel efficiency targets set by the business.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.

Job Description:

• Depo to Depo, Trunking.
• Deliver Company and Third Party products to specified locations and in accordance with the delivery schedule.
• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork.
• Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department.
• Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive.
• Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure.
• Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery.
• Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business.
• Any other duties as reasonably required.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Class 1 driving
