Job summary

Culina is hiring a HGV Class 1 Driver for day shifts in the United Kingdom. Start times between 5am and 6am, with Monday to Friday days pattern. You will perform safe deliveries to customer premises and regional distribution centres, often via backdoor tip, with occasional night outs.

Role includes paperwork, POD sign-off, and compliance with drivers hours, tachograph rules and health and safety standards. Strong communication and professional approach are essential, with on-site health and

• Minimum 6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Current UK Driver CPC qualification.

HGV Class 1 Driver- Days | Permanent Full-Time Opportunities

Start Times: 5am - 6am

Available Shift Patterns:

• Monday to Friday Days

Pay Rates

• Monday to Friday Days: £15.16 per hour
• Overtime is 1.5x Hourly rate.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, with most deliveries completed as backdoor tip.
• Support occasional driver tipping or multi-drop deliveries depending on customer demand.
• Occasional Night out may be required
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and communicate any delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies promptly.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company rules and procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and adhere to tachograph rules and regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks in line with company procedure and report defects correctly.
• Taking responsibility for the unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintaining a high standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E License.
• Minimum 6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred;
• No more than 6 points on your license and no DD or DR code convictions.
• Current valid UK Driver CPC qualification card and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Good understanding of Driver’s Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
