Job summary

Culina Group is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at Tesco Dirft Central Distribution Centre in Daventry for our General Haulage operation, delivering to stores and RDCs across the region. You will take pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

These are full-time, permanent roles with day or night starts and weekend work as needed. Pay rates range from £15.15 to £18.96 per hour, plus a tax-free meal allowance and a per-night out

Responsibilities

• General Haulage with Curtainside trailers to Distribution Centres and Stores.
• Collections from Stores to load out to Factories and Distribution Centres.
• Occasional store deliveries and loading/unloading cages.
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation.
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism.
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to Driver’s hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.

Job description

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us working from Tesco Dirft Central Distribution Centre in Daventry on our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis.

Days (Between 00:00-02:00 starts)available working any 5 days from 7.

Nights (between 16:00 – 19:00 starts) available working any 5 days from 7.

Weekend work may be required depending on demand.

Pay Rates:

We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £15.15 to £18.96 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Mon-Fri Days – £15.15per hour
• Mon-Fri Night Shift – £16.35 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday Day Shift – £18.15 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday Night Shift – £18.65per hour
• Bank Holidays – £18.96 per hour.

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance, and £25 per night out tax-free allowance (if applicable)

Driver Responsibilities:
