Job summary

Flexible People Ltd is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for Goole (DN14) to join a major supermarket distribution operation on a full-time, ongoing basis with competitive pay and holiday pay.

The role covers driving Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles, Tesco store deliveries, and manual handling of cages into stores. Shifts run 10–12 hours with afternoon and night starts, no nights out.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles.
• Complete Tesco store deliveries.
• Manually handle cages into stores.
• Carry out single and multi-drop deliveries.
• Operate with 8m, 10m and 13m curtainside and box trailers.
• No nights out; 10–12 hour shifts; afternoon and night starts between 12:00pm and midnight.

HGV Class 1 Driver | Class 1 Driver | C+E Driver | Goole | £21.23-£25.77 Per Hour | Ongoing Work

Flexible People Ltd are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of the UK's largest supermarket distribution operations based in Goole (DN14).

This Class 1 Driver opportunity offers ongoing, full-time work with excellent rates of pay and a variety of afternoon and night shifts. If you're an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for regular work, this Class 1 Driver position provides long-term stability, paid assessments and the opportunity to work on a major national contract. We are looking for reliable Class 1 Drivers who are committed to delivering excellent service while maintaining the highest safety standards.

The role involves driving articulated vehicles (C+E), completing Tesco store deliveries, manual handling cages into stores, and working shifts of approximately 10-12 hours with no nights out.

Location

Goole, DN14

Applicants must be able to commute to site and have access to their own transport.

Assessment Process

Successful applicants will complete an initial 3-4 hour driving assessment with one of our Driver Representatives. The assessment is paid upon successful completion.

The Role

• * Working with 8m, 10m and 13m curtainside and box trailers
• * Double decker trailers (full moving floor training provided)
• * 10-12 hour shifts
• * No nights out
• * Afternoon and night starts between 12:00pm and midnight

Pay Rates (Including Holiday Pay)

Any shift starting after 12:00pm

• * Monday-Thursday- £21.23 per hour
• * Friday - £23.53 per hour
• * Saturday - £25.77 per hour
• * Sunday - £25.77 per hour
• * Bank Holidays - £25.77 per hour

Requirements

• * Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• * Valid Driver CPC qualification
• * Digital Tachograph Card
• * Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• * Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• * Strong communication skills
• * Commitment to health and safety procedures

Licence Requirements

• * Valid UK driving licence
• * Maximum of 6 penalty points
• * No DD, DR or IN convictions
