Job summary

Culina Group Limited is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers for the Tesco Distribution Centre in Doncaster to support our busy general haulage operation.

You'll work day or night shifts with flexible start times, receive competitive hourly rates up to £18.65 plus a £5 meal allowance per shift, and enjoy a modern fleet, a supportive transport team and long-term stable employment. Weekend work may be required; full training and onboarding provided.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (New Pass Drivers considered).
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tachograph cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive (WTD).
• Able to carry out vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to Distribution Centres and retail stores across the region.
• Supporting store delivery work, including occasional loading/unloading of cages.
• Completing trunking routes, drop and swaps, and general haulage assignments.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and completing all relevant paperwork.
• Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism.
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure efficient operations.
• Complying with Driver Hours Regulations, WTD, and Tachograph legislation.

We are currently recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team at the Tesco Distribution Centre in Doncaster, supporting our busy General Haulage operation. This role involves completing store and RDC deliveries across the region and is ideal for professional drivers who take pride in safe driving, excellent customer service, and delivering high standards every day.

Shift Start Times

Day Shifts

• Start times typically between 02:00 and 07:00

Night Shifts

• Flexible start times available across the evening and overnight period

We offer flexibility wherever possible, so if these start times don't suit your availability, we'd still like to hear from you.

Pay Rates

Day Shifts

• Monday to Friday: £15.15 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday: £18.15 per hour

Night Shifts

• Monday to Friday: £16.35 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday: £18.65 per hour

Additional Payments

• £5 tax-free meal allowance per shift
• Bank Holidays: £18.96 per hour

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering to Distribution Centres and retail stores across the region
