About the vacancy

Overview:
As an HGV Driver at NewCold, you will be a key part of our logistics team. We are seeking dedicated and skilled drivers who are flexible and able to work 12-hours minimum. If you're looking for a rewarding and stable career as an HGV Driver, we'd love to hear from you!

£70 overtime shift bonus.
Overtime paid at your salary’s hourly rate.

Earnings:
Day shift earnings starting from £34,277.04 (based on 12-hour shifts).
Guaranteed minimum hours: 10 hours, with an average of 35 hours per week.
Day Rate: £15.17 per hour.
Saturday Rate: £16.39 per hour.
Sunday Rate: £17.62 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily vehicle checks in line with company standards and legal requirements, reporting any defects promptly.
Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Ensure all deliveries/collections are correctly loaded, at the right temperature, and securely fastened before leaving depots.
Participate in pre-departure and debrief processes, providing the traffic office with updates on delays or incidents.
Drive safely and legally, respecting other road users and maintaining the company’s good reputation.
Ensure the safe delivery and collection of goods, minimising risk to yourself, colleagues, and the public by following company procedures.
Comply with company rules, policies, and procedures at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the work environment, including units and trailers.
Download tacho data in accordance with company requirements.

Requirements:
Valid HGV Class C+E licence.
Driver CPC qualification (or willingness to obtain, with our full support).
Minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
Ability to work a minimum of 12-hour shifts, including nights.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work overtime as required.
Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety.
