Job summary

BBS Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a major client based in Chelmsford. Ongoing work with day and night trunking shifts, weekly pay and potential for permanent employment. You will carry out trunking, perform vehicle checks, and ensure journeys meet regulatory requirements.

Various shift patterns available with weekend overtime. Excellent rates of pay and a professional depot environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HGV Class 1 driver.
• Trunking delivery work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of tachograph and drivers hours regulations.

Our client, a major company based in Chelmsford, is looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their team on an ongoing basis. Both day and night trunking shifts are available.

Key Responsibilities for HGV Class 1 Driver:

Carry out HGV Class 1 trunking work safely and efficiently.

Complete scheduled trunking runs between designated locations.

Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.

Ensure all journeys are completed in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.

Complete relevant delivery and vehicle documentation accurately.

Comply with drivers' hours, tachograph and road safety regulations.

Maintain professional communication with depot staff, customers and other road users.

Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.

Follow all company health and safety procedures.
