Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting a temp HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver for a Bristol-based distribution business. The role is temporary with potential for ongoing work, paying £17.50 per hour PAYE.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 04:30 and finishing around 14:30. Duties include trunking between hubs, up to two runs per shift, and ensuring paperwork and vehicle checks are completed accurately.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Minimum 3 months experience required.
• Valid CPC and Digi Card.
• Good understanding of driver hours and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete trunking between client hubs.
• Carry out up to 2 runs per shift; occasional collection on return.
• Ensure deliveries/collections are safe and on time.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-known and established distribution business based in Bristol. We are looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join the team on a temp basis.

Location: Bristol Job Type: Temporary with a potential of ongoing work

Pay Rate: £17.50 per hour PAYE

Hours & Shift Patterns

• Monday to Friday
• 04:30am start until around 14:30pm

The Role

• Completing trunking work between the clients hubs
• Completing up to 2 runs per shift and then on occasions a collection on the way back
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
• Carrying out all required vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Completing all necessary paperwork accurately
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Maintaining a professional approach at all times

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Minimum 3 months experience required
• Maximum 6 points for minor offences only
• Valid CPC and Digi Card
• Good understanding of driver hours and regulations
• Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
