Job description

HGV Class 1 Driver

Location: Bradford

Salary: £18.57ph - £30.01ph

Rapier Employment is currently seeking an HGV Class 1 driver for our busy client in Bradford. This is a long-term ongoing role for suitable candidates.

This role involves some manual handling of cages and tail lift work.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering to RDCs and stores
• Unloading stores deliveries using tail lift and cages
• Performing vehicle checks
• Adapting to shift patterns; weekend shifts preferred

Shift Details:

Days

• Start time: 04:00 – 09:00
• Pay rate: £18.57 per hour PAYE
• Overtime: £27.85ph after 8 hours

Nights

• Start time: 15:00 – 21:00
• Pay rate: £20.01 per hour PAYE
• Overtime: £30.01ph after 8 hours

Rates are consistent from Monday to Sunday.

Candidate Requirements:

• Held HGV C+E license for at least 12 months
• Minimum of 3 months commercial driving experience for insurance purposes
• Positive attitude and proactive approach
• No DR10, CD10, IN10 convictions; no more than 6 points on license
• Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification
