Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in Sittingbourne for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E). Shifts run Monday to Friday with a 09:30 start, offering PAYE hourly pay with overtime after 40 hours.

Role involves loading/unloading parcels, pre/post trip checks, and using company software to update statuses while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• At least 12 months proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collections.
• Assist with loading/unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely Collections.
• Operate devices and company software to update delivery status and communicate with the depot.
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain safety on the road.
• Communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Sittingbourne. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Shifts: Monday to Friday

Hours: 09:30am start

Pay Rate: £18.35 per hour PAYE with overtime of £27.53 after 40 hours.

Location: ME10 2FD

• Manual handling required as drivers will assist with loading and unloading parcels at depots and customers locations.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely Collections.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
