Job summary

TRCGroup is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for an ongoing role based in Sittingbourne (ME10 2FD). Shifts are from Monday to Friday with a 09:30 start. PAYE pay rate is £18.35 per hour, with overtime at £27.53 after 40 hours.

You will load/unload parcels, drive, and maintain safety standards. Applicants must hold a full UK licence (C+E), have 12+ months of relevant driving experience, and possess a valid DCPC and tachograph card.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Have at least 12 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collections.
• Manual handling required as drivers will assist with loading and unloading parcels at depots and customers locations.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely Collections.
• Operating devices and company software to update delivery status and to communicate with the depot.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
