Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Sheffield area for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers to join the team. Shifts are typically Monday to Friday with a 9am start and 10-12 hour shifts, based in Sheffield.

Pay rate is £15.36 per hour PAYE, and the role is ongoing. Responsibilities include secure transport of high value parcels, multi-drop deliveries, tail lift loading/unloading, and maintaining paperwork, with opportunities to assist with loading and customer-facing

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C&E).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• 6 months minimum experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment.

Responsibilities

• Securely move and transport premium and high value goods (parcels) to sub-depots or collect from delivery units.
• Multi-drop delivery – average of 15–20 drops/collections.
• Load and unload roll cages using tail lift and pump truck.
• Focus on safe driving and maintain accurate paperwork throughout shift.
• Drivers may assist with loading/unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Interact with customers and represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
