Job summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver specializing in Timber deliveries to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a large flatbed or curtain sider trucks to transport timber and related materials across various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with your ability to handle flatbed loads securely, will ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Duties

• Safely operate a Class 1 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) with a focus on flatbed or curtain sider transportation of timber products
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
• Secure timber loads effectively using appropriate straps, chains, and tarps to prevent movement during transit
• Deliveries are made nationwide.
• Drivers must be comfortable with nighting out when required.
• The role involves multi-drop deliveries.
• Deliveries can include builders' merchant yards in busy city-centre locations, including London.

Experience:

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence.
• Have relevant HGV driving experience.
• Have previous experience with strapping/securing loads.
• Are comfortable driving curtain-side and flatbed trailers.
• Are willing to night out when required.
• Are comfortable with multi-drop nationwide deliveries.
• Are confident making deliveries to builders' merchants and city-centre locations, including London.
• Are immediately available or able to start at short notice.
