Job summary

Tom Orange Recruitment Ltd is seeking a motivated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our timber logistics team. You will operate flatbed or curtain sider trucks, focusing on safe timber deliveries across nationwide routes, with night outs when required.

You must hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence, have experience with load securing, and be comfortable multi-drop deliveries in city centres including London. Join a dynamic, safety‑driven operation where professionalism and punctuality are valued.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence held.
• Experience driving HGV timber loads.
• Experience with load securing using straps/chains.
• Comfortable with night-out shifts as required.
• Experience with multi-drop nationwide deliveries.
• Willing to start at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 HGV for timber loads on flatbed or curtain sider.
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Secure loads with straps, chains, and tarps to prevent movement.
• Deliver nationwide, including city-centre builders' merchants.
• Be comfortable with night-out when required and multi-drop routes.
